As the wind came up at lunch and didn’t die off by mid-afternoon, Rose and I decided to go on a little walk along the beach and down the backstreets of Massaguaçu instead of going out on the paddle board.
Like any place, the town varies from street to street. But the difference here is one street may have paved roads, glass windows and air-con units and others are just super basic dirt roads with little self-built breeze block houses.
The place is quaint, everyone is friendly and apart from the notoriously bad driving standards Brazil definitely has a special place in our hearts. You just can’t beat the simple life for a bit!
